Category: Question the Teachings

  • Experimenting

Why do people often use the same kind of words to talk about their spirituality, even though everyone has a unique experience?

In spiritual domain we are aware of our inner experience, and the effect of this awareness on the outside world. This can include feelings and sensations, angels and guides and a connection to the source. Oppositely, if we are completely in our head, we are not aware of inner experiences.

For example, we could look at a tree and see a living, breathing being. Or we could just see the labels in our head. The same is true for inner experiences: we can either truly experience them, or label them.

If we use words from others, we might label inner experiences too quickly, which shuts down the full expression of it. This can happen in religion, or spiritual teachings.

Have you also found that teachings from others take you into the tunnel of a limiting mindset, their definition weighing down on you? Then you need to be free from this burden to fully live your journey.

The solution to this issue is finding your own expression. Letting go of the words of others is a deep process. It involves some experimenting to find your own vocabulary.

The result is your unique expression that sets you apart from the crowd (ones that mostly repeat the words from others). I invite you to find and celebrate your own expression.

The videos start where my spiritual journey started too: non-duality. It’s a spiritual teaching, a philosophy, and for some people, it’s like a religion. Non-duality literally means not two, which implies that there is no separation. This teaching negates the usual way of seeing things, e.g. I’m over here looking at you over there. Instead, non-duality tells us that the usual way is an illusion which appears within a greater truth.
